Tools

These are my favorite network analysis tools

Gephi – an interactive visualization and exploration platform for all kinds of networks and complex systems, dynamic and hierarchical graphs.

NodeXL – NodeXL is a free, open-source template for Microsoft® Excel® 2007 and 2010 that makes it easy to explore network graphs.  With NodeXL, you can enter a network edge list in a worksheet, click a button and see your graph, all in the familiar environment of the Excel window.

ORA – ORA is a dynamic meta-network assessment and analysis tool developed by CASOS at Carnegie Mellon.  It contains hundreds of social network, dynamic network metrics, trail metrics, procedures for grouping nodes, identifying local patterns, comparing and contrasting networks, groups, and individuals from a dynamic meta-network perspective.

UCINET – UCINET 6 for Windows is a software package for the analysis of social network data. It was developed by Lin Freeman, Martin
Everett and Steve Borgatti. It comes with the NetDraw network visualization tool.

Renoir – Renoir is a general-purpose desktop program for manipulating and visualizing networks, otherwise known as graphs.
